COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The bottom fermented, dark Gösser Stiftsbräu is brewed according to old, inherited traditions. With a smoky, roasted nose and a thick and creamy taste on the palate, Stiftsbräu is a sophisticated delight for lovers of a slightly sweet, dark beer. The overall impression that Stiftsbräu creates is one of great harmony and well roundedness. 11.8°

Avevo bisogno di digerire, e questa dunkel ha fatto discretamente la sua funzione... Comunque molto bevibile, nonostante sia molto malto burrosa, sia al naso che in bocca.

Countbeer (4390) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - OCT 26, 2011
Bottle: Pretty big light brown yellow tan ish head, which disappears quick, on top of a dark clear brown beer with a ruby shine. Smell is a light mix of roasted grains, darker fruit like raisin, oatmeal and herbs. Taste is light sweet with a bit more bitterness and hints of grains, malts, corn, barleys, a hint of darker fruits, something hoppy, herbs and nuts. Light sweet bitter herby darker aftertaste. Low carbo, soft mouthfeel, medium bit warery body and a light creamy texture. Unfortunately a bit watery otherwise  this would be a nice dunkel.

Bottled (from Systembolaget, Mölnvik Gustavsberg). Deep amber, close to copper colour, with a mediumsized off-white to beige head. Aroma is caramel, some quite sugary and ryelike notes along with mild bitterness. Flavour is rye, caramel, some mild toasted notes as well as mild floral notes. OK, but not very inspiring or special.

nearly opaque mahogany with a few bubbles on top; Medium body with medium-high carbonation.

Aroma: sweet bready dark malt, woody tobacco hops, mild alcohol, and hints of dark fruit.

Taste: very mild, some dark-roasted grainy malt, mineral water, hints of cola and sweet coffee,, and just enough hop bitterness to balance.

11.2 oz. bottle from Food N Fermentation. This pours almost black with red highlights and a nice light tan head. The nose is grassy hops and sweet malt that has light cocoa. The first sip is molasses. Grassy hops soon follow. This is plenty sweet and malty but better than expected.
