2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 ThreeCats (111) - ISRAEL - FEB 19, 2012
Deep amber brown with off white head that sinks fairly quickly. Smell of plum/raisin, malt and caramel. Tastes like nothing special. A bit of bitterness that carries into the palate and very little flavor. Disappointing.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Raaha (67) - Michigan, USA - FEB 22, 2002
It was a good beer. I don’t think it is Austria’s finest like they say. I had a couple better when I was in Ischgal. Still is a very good beer though. I will probably buy more. Hard to find good beer here. I think warsteiner Dunkel is better though.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20 GPyott (67) - Kenosha, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 24, 2002
The malt is a bit sweeter than I normally prefer, and I was expecting a more smoky bock tasting finish. However, this is a good tasting light bodied dark that is very smooth. I even found sweet nature of this beer was more pleasant and inviting after one or two. I’m sure Gosser and I will have another go at it again.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 dreamloomer (66) - Warsaw, POLAND - AUG 7, 2010
Drank as Gösser Dark.
Cola-like colour.
Strong aroma, with fresh hops and a bit of roasty and caramel notes.
Very full taste. The first impression is caramelly dryness, then hoppiness with a bit of malt and finally the roasty bitterness in the aftertaste.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 marcusm (55) - Remich, LUXEMBOURG - JUL 20, 2004
Draught version tried at the Brewery tap
A Brown beer with little head retention, aroma of caramel. A solid flavour of chocolate malt and caramel with light hopping. The taste does linger but is not a complex one. The bottled version is slightly sweeter but with a pronounced CO2 bite.

Smooth, easy drinking dark. Subtle dunkel flavor, almost as if it’s missing something
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 BlackOut (43) - East End, ENGLAND - DEC 8, 2007
This is a nice beer which secured its place in my top 10., Its full of flavour and aroma.
For its 4.5% it surely doesn’t feel weak. Well balanced. As mentioned before it goes well with a dinner
