2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 jgb9348 (3497) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - DEC 8, 2003
Dark brown coloured body with a soapy tan head. Aroma of malt, slight grapes, raisins and some metal. Medium to Light-bodied; Sweet flavour with some malt present, some caramel and a bit of some raisin sweetness. Very light and subdued aftertaste-almost nothing there! Overall, a sub-par beer and one that really should be overlooked! I bought this twelve ounce bottle (Best by 01.2005) at Beers of the World in Rochester, New York and sampled it on 07.December.2003.

Black beer with a disapperaing head. Nothing overly spectacular here. Abit cordially and sweet for my tastes. Could be better integrated. Think Tooheys Old might even be better.

Bottle, 50cl. Dark red color, good head. Strong aroma of malt, nicely roasted. Flavor was the same at the beginning, but later some odd taste of chalk - almost paraffin-like - became too annoying. The taste was not quite what I’ve expected from the great looks of this beer.

bottle, poured into glass. Very dark, tastes rather light compared wit color. Probably one of the better austrian beers.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 konstifik (573) - SWEDEN - JAN 8, 2011
Pours dark brown with a light beige head. Malty aroma of dark bread, toasted bread, caramel and very light smoke. It’s on the sweet side and has a kind of old and unpleasant feel to it. I can’t really appreciate this beer.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 yngwie (9205) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 23, 2011
Bottle, as Gösser Dark Beer. A dark copper colored beer with a small, dense, beige head. The aroma has a semi-pleasant blend of coffee and butterscotchy maltyness. Hints of dark chocolate too. The flavor has too much butterscotch and diacetyl, along with coffee, chocolate and caramel. Quite dry in the mouth, a bit sweetish sticky, and pleasantly carbonated. Medium body. Well, what can I say? It’s not bad, but it’s not my preferred choice of dunkel, and it doesn’t taste too good either. I think I’d go for an easier drinkable pale lager instead. 110523
