Cloudy, Light gold, Strong banana smell. Light palate. Fruity with Banana. Light malt and yeast feel. Smooth. I really enjoy the banana feel. No real bitterness. Not complex.

Bottle, 5.5 percent ABV. Hazy pale yellow, big white head. Solid banana aroma. Banana and gradually also clove providing a good balance. A very good weizen despite its pale appearance.

Botella, "Gotemba Kohgen Beer Weizen". Hazy golden, nice steady big white cramy head. Good wheat and yeasty fruity aroma. Pleasant filling mouthfeel. Fresh wheat fruity flavour with yeast and some sweetness. Good banana fruity weiss. Thanks for waiting and sharing this with me Tooru!

KyotoLefty (3760) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAY 31, 2009
Draught at the brewery. Glowing cloudy yellow color, very bubbly, with a thick, fine, head. Aroma has a decent sour edge to it, lemony, with banana and clove. Medium rich malt flavor. Refreshing, and not too sweet. Tart as well. Well done. Not very special, but good. A bit thin.

Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy yellow, small head. Estery raspberry , bandaid and banana up front. Light-medium bodied with cottony spun sugar, strong wheat malt character and plenty of banana. Solid weizen.

Hazy yellow with white head. Fruity yeasts and a faint citrus nose. Taste was lemon zest with distant spices and a "morning on the farm" earthiness. Slight hint of metal. Palate thin, refreshing. Cant compete with the glory of the Fujizakura at all.

500mL Bottle: Light hazy, full white head. Nose of light wheat and some citrusy notes, a bit of orange. The flavor is thin, light wheat and some funky yeast, some citrus and grass. Ok, but not that impressive.
