On tap at the brewpub. A very dark brown, if not black color. Light brown head. Overpowering aroma of coffee. Dominant flavor is also a roasted coffee taste. This seems to be more stout-like than a brown ale. Body is pretty light and palate a little weak.

UPDATED: NOV 10, 2006 A deep brown ale, very flavorful, not sweet. Quite drinkable with no bad aftertaste. Good with food. Not a rich body, but plenty of flavor. Maybe a little too much roast on the malt for this type brew though.

Tap at brewpub. Liquorice, malt, roasty aroma. Roasty and dry, very dry. more porter/stout like...light body...Robust flavor, thin body.
