Pale golden yellow with a thick foamy white head. Malty aroma. Malts in flavour as well, with salty and bready notes. Quite good bitterness in finish.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Bloemart (257) - NETHERLANDS - OCT 17, 2004
Extremely average.... and then a pretty undeserving palate. But drinking this beer in Gottingen itself tou tend to forgive and forget seeing as this town is a very nice place to have a beer.... any beer.

A nice and classic pilsener. The aroma is bready and hoppy. It has a nice bitter bite in the finish.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 Ungstrup (22911) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - JUL 2, 2003
The aroma is a very very light hoppy one. The color is a clear yellow with a beutiful head. The flavor starts out bitter, then comes a soft sweetness with a little sulfor note (could it be the water?), then comes a prickling bitterness together with a metallic note. It has a good start, but then it turns weird. Not a pilsener I can recommend.

Really freshlooking with a nice white head.
A typical german hop-bitterness.

Clear golden with rich, firm head. Bready, very dry and crisp with salty, really bitter, clean finish. A very good example of a classic German pilsener.
1.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 Bronstein (175) - Göttingen, GERMANY - DEC 20, 2002
More expensive than the Göttinger Edel-Pils and one of the worst beers of its style. Nothing else than chinin-like bitterness which will ruin your palate for hours. Even water will taste bitter after this one. Avoid!
