3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 pivnizub (7239) - Bochum, Porúří, - JUL 5, 2007
Bottle: Pale golden to golden coloured, slightly lacing and quite stable white head, honeyish and a bit marzipan-like nose with a boozy tinge and traces of hops; moderate to robust sweet-bitter flavour, medium-bodied, sweetish-grainy, later drier bitter finish. A rather restrained, but well rounded Doppelbock, quite dangerous, because it drinks below its weight...........
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 17, 2011

Bottled. A golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of vegetables, while the flavor is plainly sweet and malty, and the body surprisingly thin.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Just comes as "Doppelbock" - no "Mobilator" anymore. Hazy yellow beer with a rough, off-white head. Sweetish malty aroma with a floral touch. Full-bodied with a very solid malt base, lightly sweet with a floral hoppiness. Subdued in the finishing bitterness though. 141208

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Grovlam (4108) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 14, 2008
Bottle. [Tasting session @ Papsoe] this is by far the palest Doppelbock ever. Pale yellow orange color. Small fizzy white head. Spare display of lacework. Aroma of caramel, grain. Over the palate came strong malty base with light alcoholic texture and surprisingly fruity notes. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Moderated sweet flavour with a hint of bitterness. Sweet malty finish.

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a diminished white head. Dry malty and slight bitter aroma. Solid malty and caramel flavoured with a distinct alcohol prensence and smoothness. Leading into a warming and alcohol dominant finish.

Bottle, 7.8%. Weak peppery aroma. Clear golden colour, some tiny floating particles (not past BB date). Very small white head. The flavour is quite peppery with some spicy yeast. Quite caramelly. Starts off spicy and fruity, but turns more clean. OK for a heller Doppelbock.

Strong beer, looks like a pils, but you get the full alcohol punch. Not wery well balanced, not very sophisticated.
