Test of 27.03.2008. Cloudy brown color with thick white head. Aroma wheat, caramel. Taste, caramel, wheat, hints of chocolate. Spices in finish. Drinkable beer.

Bottle: Slight hazy, amber coloured, no head to speak of; wheaty sourish nose with a caramelly to dark malty background; light sweetish-sourish flavour, soft and light bodied; slightly lingering delicate caramelly and yeasty finish. Easy drinking Dunkelweizen.......

(NRW-bottle, purchased at the brewery, labelled differently than the other beers) Hazy, amber colour with a thick off-white foamy head. Slightly sour and wheaty aroma with shy toasty notes and a skunky, sweaty touch. Slightly sweet and sour flavour, light to medium bodied with a sparkly carbonation. Wheaty and slightly toast-malt taste with notes of citrus, berries, a whiff of caramel and mildly spicy phenolic notes of cloves and Muscat; slightly sour and bitter tart finish with a touch of caramel and berries. Finally a pretty decent example of the style. 20.V.10
