COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle; Unfiltered.
Also available from Wetherspoons in casks.
"This full-tasting, but deceptively drinkable, amber ale has a good fruitiness and a nice hop edge which tempers the caramellised malt. It is clean and precise, within an almost perfect balance of Challenger and Goldings hops.
The recipe has its origin in the 14th century. The present version is a little more heavy and contains more hops. The balance between the different malts, the fine hops and typical tastes of spices creates a perfect harmony between the powerful taste of brown beers and the freshness of the blond beers. This fresh aromatic and pithy light-brown drink can be served cool.

11.2 oz bottle. Hazy copper with a huge, dense, foamy beige head. Faint aroma of sugary caramel malt and earthy, woody scents. The flavor is lots of sweet malt and sugar but not cloying, some light bitterness and sourness too for balance. Not really any alcohol flavors. Medium body with active, prickly carbonation and a thick, foamy mouth feel. This is a very good, easy drinking beer, especially for being 8% abv.

Pura strong ale belga, molto in stile, con una forte presenza di lieviti, alcol e note leggermente floreali.

75 cl. champagne-flaske. 8,0 %. Skal symbolisere det røde i Belgiens flag. Rødlig i farven. Smager dejligt.

Jeżeli ktoś próbował classica i tripla to ambrio będzie wielkim zawodem. Zdecydowanie odstaje od nich w każdym aspekcie. Przeciętnie.

33cl bottle at home. Pale amber brown with a full slightly off-white head with quite some retention. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Nice sweet and bitter tones. Caramel, brown sugar, flowers, herbs, spices and yeast. A nice quality brew from Belgium.

an interesting light flavored very fruity belgian...good malt, hop, and spicy fruit balance. hides the 8% pretty well, but it shows up more as the beer warms and gets a little heavier all around. one i may have again. 4/9/09 - had it on tap, cleaner yeast without the bottle conditioning, and I like the feel a tad better.

330ml bottle served in a tulip glass. A: Pours a deep and clear amber color forming a medium bubbled light yellow head. Good retention and lots of lacings formed and left in the glass S: Caramel malts and flowery hops, mainly. Quite fruity and a bit spicy too. Notes if caramel malts, candy sugar, plums, brown bread, Belgian yeasts and grassy hops T: Sweet malts upfront with notes of caramel and toffee which turns quickly into a citrus and grassy hops bitterness in the end. Good bitterness, BTW. Again, quite fruity with notes of dark fruits, plums mainly. Brown bread, Belgian yeasts and hops M: Medium body and good carbonation. Molasses. Aftertaste is mainly made of a mix of sweet malts and bitter grassy hops. Classic Belgian bittersweet Ale O: Good drinkability. In between a Belgian Strong Pale Ale and a Strong Dark Ale. From tap@Delirium. Nose:mocha, caramel, malt, syrup, fruity hints in the taste, bit nutty. Good carbonation, bitter with sweet touch. Some chocolate bitterness in the finish. Soft body, good beer, although this Brewer has more in store

Aardig bier
