canary dog (365), Rutland, Vermont, USA Mar 5, 2008 A rich and complex Belgium amber. Well-balanced, with no overriding characteristic one way or the other. Nice head. A highly drinkable but alcoholic brew.
maniac4016 (72), plainfield, Illinois, USA Jul 6, 2008 14th century recipe should have been left back there, this is fucking shit & taste worse than hillary clintons pussy juice ajm (248), USA Jul 6, 2008 Tap at Lucky Baldwin’s Belgian Fest Fall 2007. A great opening, with floral notes, bright fruit, sweet yeast and a good balance. An amber that’s very smooth with no gritty or bitter finish. Quite good. Grossecaisse (13), France Jun 29, 2008 A good beer, but too much bitter for me.
I prefer the carolus classic better. gmonroe10 (79), Netherlands Jun 28, 2008 Bottle. Pours a hazy orange caramel with a firm off-white head. Aroma of sweet dark fruits, bitter cocoa and a faint alcoholic tone. Taste is sweet and malty- dry finish that lingers for quite a while. Medium body. eboats (807), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Jun 28, 2008 Bottled. Pours orange/amber with a dirty white head. Aroma is sweet dark fruits, belgian yeast, and has hints of cocoa and chocolate. Flavor is sweet belgian yeast with a slight hint of cocoa as well as sweet chocolate powder like a Nestle Quick chocolate milk powder. Very smooth and slightly over carbonated.
