COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Wetherspoon Special.
This is a full-tasting, but deceptively drinkable, classic golden ale, with a clean, precise flavour and full hop character. Hops used: Goldings, Saaz.

Beer looks imperial, very sturdy in body as well. Taste is like a Heineken and a wit mixed... Smell is yeasty and wheaty. Overall, it is a good summer taste.

Bottle- Pours a hazy golden color with a nice head that fades to good lacing. Aroma is fruity with some malt sweetness and spice in the back ground. Taste of fruit, malt sweetness and some spice. Nice bitterness and a clean finish. Fairly light body, crisp and refreshing. Has a nice balance that gives it a bit of character. This was a enjoyable beer, much more than I expected from a Blonde Ale, but then again it was from Belgium.

Test vom 27.12.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,8,7,6,3,6 - 6,70

Pale hazy golden colour, firm white head. Malty aroma, yeast, citrus and hops. Flavour is sweet malts, some mild lemon, hops and spice. Decent beer, quite refreshing. (from tap)

Bottle at Den Stillen Genieter. Fairly hoppy, decent enough blonde beer, refreshing and easy to drink.

Thanks Steve B. for bringing to 1000 Islands ’10’. Poured a Large that that stayed a bit. Good lacing. The citurs and spices in the aroma and flavor was fine. The too hoppiness was not fine. Too hoppy for a Blond.

From a bottle. beautiful 2-3 finger wonderful white head as good as Duvel, vanilla, small citrus flavor, this ale is top shelf Belgan, I am in love although I love everything Carolus brews. Mouthfeel is refreshing not overly carbonated - next to Chimay one of my all time favorites.

Corked bottle 750ml bottle. Initial pour yielded nothing but a monstrous, foamy head that eventually gave way to some hazy yellowish amber beer. Sweet, spicy, fruity yeast aroma. Flavor is spiced fruit with a spicey hops bite up front fadinng into a buttery malt ending. Low end of medium bodied with a lightly oily palate. Interesting and tasty but a bit muddled at times.
