Bottle, 75cl corked, at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. A pale yellowish golden, hazy beer with a big dense white head. Fruity and citrusy nose with spices, alcohol and pale malts. Alcohol, spices, citrus, banana notes, lots of white sugar sweetness and a good bitterness in the mouth. Warming, full-bodied beer with a long, warm, spiced, slightly citrusy finish. Yummy. A pleasant, smooth and warming Belgian from the upper shelf. (080913)

750 ml bottle from Bev4less. Pours a golden color with a big white head that has good lacing. The aroma is sweet and fruity, with pears, peaches, banana and apples. The taster is similarly fruity with added floral flavors, mild spices and just a touch of alcohol. The mouthfeel is full and malty. The finish is long and dry. Overall: A very enjoyable winter warmer.

Pours a five+ finger white pillowy head that fades slowly leaving a good lace. Light cloudy amber color. Light citric nose. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Flavor is citrus, some sweetness, smooth, clean finish. $10.25 for a 750ml bottle from Tullys Beer & Wine Wells, Me.

2008 bottle. Oops, did not know the red existed, picked this up instead! Did not put it together until I noticed it did not taste the same! Pours a very pale light yellow with bubbles streaming to the top and a bigger white head. The nose is not the same as blue, at all. Fruity esters, some alcohol. A bit of sweetness, but a dry wheaty sort. Banana, apple. Slightly creamy. Lots of small bubbles in the mouth with more viscosity than I would guess based on the appearance. Peppery. Very fruity esters. Some alcohol heat. A bit creamy, Not a ton of depth. Comes off like a triple. I hope my local gets some of the blue labels in soon, this was a let down!

pours with a big fancy duvel brother head ... light pepper-ness, day old lemon peel, and some honey in the nose ... not bad stuff, light honey and celar sweetness ... needs to be less sweet, the pepper needs to be less ... a nice brew, but will be in the shadow or his big blue sibling .. abv is wildly masked...2008...
