Golden orange, thin lingering white head, good lace.
Aroma is of citrus, alcohol, perfume, flowers, yeast.
Flavour is quite smooth, yeast, alcohol, some citrus, floral.
Yeasty mouth, med body, high carb.
Finishes warm, citrus, yeast.

Nice balance, alcohol hidden well but I prefer the blue better.

750ml bottle purchased at Premier Gourmet in Buffalo, New York.

Opened on July 26, 2009.

Vintage 2008.

bottle at the Ft Wayne locals tasting courtesy of thedm and hotstuff - Pours golden with an ample white head. The aroma is of pale malt with some good citrus notes. It tastes of sweet, citrusy malt with a hint of spice and it’s balanced by a dry finish. The palate is medium to full bodied and bubbly. Excellent Belgian brew.

Sweet, first one to rate this beer! On tap @ Hamilton’s Tavern San Diego. Pours a deep lightly hazed gold with a slight orange hue. I think the best nose of any beer I’ve sampled to date. Aromas of candied fruits and some spice, hard to describe. The 10% is hidden very well, I hope this is still on tap next time I’m at Hamilton’s!!

very softy hazed but almost transparent dark yellow with what starts as a large white topping but which settles thin, whispy white. Sweet, old citrus, hay-like nose with a distant gingerbread/anise touch. More sweet old-citrus flavors with boozy, grassy, almost off-putting/malt-liqour like characterstics...the sweet carries the flavors throughout...hay, citrus, and booze. everywhere. Big heavy, thick, sweet body...bloating...

Clear light amber with rising bubbles and a frothy white head. Big yeasty, earthy belgian spice aromas. medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Nice fruity sweet, yeasty estery flavors of peaches, mangos, and earthy papaya flesh is nicely complex. The 10% is well hidden here. Very good.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Look is golden in color, hazy, with a nice looking white lacing head. Smell is hot with alcohol, wood, honey, wood, and caramel. The taste is very alcoholic, malts, sweetness, and yeast.
