Klar, mörk brun-orange-röd med ett stort orang-brunt skum. Doft: Alkohol, örtlikör, mint lakrits, gräs, färsk kompost. Smak: Som doft. Lite för mycket sprit och ört likör för mig.

0,7 bottle shared Appearance:Dark copper with a finger sized beige head. Aroma: Sweet fruity, caramel, port wine, molasis and some light licorice notes in the background. Taste: Sweet caramelised malts dominate it combined with a lot of fruity notes (pear , apples and banana ), light licorice notes , light alcohol and a bit of spices in the finish. Fizzy carbonation, medium body. Probably the fizzyness were’s off ad the balance becomes better over time. Worth to see how it develops, taking the brewer reputation into account.

Pours an opaque chocolate brown with a nice light tan head. Aroma is mainly fruity, banana and pear with a little apple and a hint of cherry plus a malty underpinning. Flavor is more malty, but fruit still dominates, pear and banana and a bit of cherry. Texture is quite fizzy, and leaves a nice fruity finish. Hop to it!

On tap. Aroma is complex. Sweet. Boozy. Spicy like some cinnomon. Fruity, like dates and stuff but also something a bit lighter in there.... Looks very nice. Like a plum color. Taste is complex smooth, fruity. Spicy. Very nice. A little lighter but good, Palate is nice. Heavier than other Belgians, Waaaay back in the day I bought a mix pack of Gouden carolus and they were all solid. Getting this om draught was not a disappointment, very solid Belgian beer.
