Aug 3, 2009 Bottle. Red wine in appearance with a beige foam. Aromas are bubblegum and mellow berries with soft spices and lots of herbal notes. Some burnt caramel. Flavours are softy berries with some chocolate malts. Medicinal and herbal with cola and brown sugar. Toffee with some aniseed. Sticky ripe pear and earthy hops. Has a good foam in the mouth palate.

Jun 26, 2009 2009 Bottle. Pours yellow golden with white head. Sweet sugary aroma, quite herbal. Tastes like circus peanuts... way too sweet and one dimensional.

This is a funny one. It is like a weisse, hezy with with white head.
And then the aroma and flavor!
It is "honningbolcher"! Honney and fennel. Too overwhelming.
Very sweet, but no rebuy here.

Jun 1, 2009 Pours a silty, hazed copper under a low, fluffy, off-white head which settles moderately to a lasting film. The nose finds fruity, yeasty esters and a pronounced, sharp cheesiness. A little flat on the palate yet full-bodied and creamy. Low cardamom stimulates the upper palate before pears, grapes and leafy greens. Alcohol really shows in the nose as it warms up but doesn’t overpower in the flavor. ~~~~~~~~ Vintage 2007. A generous pour from the mensch known as Cornfield.

May 24, 2009 Bottle, courtesy kiefdog. Thick cloudy copper pour, thick white head and thick lacing. Boozy nose, apricot, peach and plum, banana, and some caramel. Creamy caramel flavors, some dark fruits, some cocoa and licorice, finishes boozy. Full-bodied, not too drinkable because of the heat. But interesting.

Apr 17, 2009 750ml bottle from 2008 batch: Creamy gold pour with a nice, lasting white head. Very sweet from start to finish, with caramel corn sweetness and peachy esthers meeting the nose. The body is full, almost viscous, with lots of sweet honey, caramel, straw and malt. A nice layer of phenolic yeast adds dimension. Very good.
