Bottle shared by Andreasen11. Pours golden with a large off white head. Aroma is lots of sweet malt and caramel with notes of cardamom. Flavour is very sweet, caramel, nuts and cardamom with notes of honey and alcohol. A little to sweet for me.

750 ml. 2008 bottle. Golden, hazy body with a large, frothy head that sticks around. The aroma is sweet with candy, raisin, dried, pineapple and spice. Light hoppy aroma of flowers. Some hints of tasted grain. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It has a medium to full body with a watery texture. Lively carbonation. Though very sweet, not cloying. Enjoyable.

Courtesy of kiefdog. Pours deep gold with a tiny bit of floating sediment and thin white head. The aroma is full with honey, sugar, a few spices, grains and a sense of the yeast. The taste is sweet and moving. It then gets into candi sugar, full honey notes, some spices and an understandable sense of the bruising ABV. Good stuff.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a tan head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel and spices - cardemomme and cloves, but also notes of alcohol. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of caramel and spices - cardemomme and nutmeg, combined with notes of alcohol, leading to a dry very spicy and somewhat alcoholic finish.

(Rating #2229)
