COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Origin: Gouden Carolus Hopsinjoor completes the taste pallet of the gamma Carolus-beers. Name: "Hopsinjoor" is a wordplay to for one thing the several hops which were used, and on the other hand the typical character of Mechelen of Gouden Carolus: the figure "opsinjoor" is intertwined with the history of Mechelen (see: www.opsinjoorke.be/Opsinjoorke/opsinjoor.htm). Kind of hops: 4 types of hops are used: Golding, Spalt, Hallertau and Saaz. These hops were fractioned at several times in the cooking process in order to keep a maximum of aroma. Regarding to taste we can say that the beer has a gentle, but nevertheless bitter aftertaste. Gold-yellow colour. Hoppy aroma. 50 IBU / 18.6 Plato

Draft at BXL East. Pours hazy gold with a thick white head. Great lacing. Aroma is fruity hops with some citrus notes. Taste is slightly bitter on the forefront, but does not linger much. Taste has elements of pine resin, grass, citrus rind and pith and slightl notes of belgian yeast and spice. Nice.

Draught. Yellow, hazy. Malts.. Yeasty spices, coriander, a bit of citrus. Body is medium, quite malty actually. Dry, a bit bitter. Loads of green leafy spices. Nice belgian ale. Like most, but a bit more bitter, with more green hops.

Marstonlad (172) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 19, 2013
Draught at Janoinen Lohi, Helsinki. Pours cloudy golden with a small but dense white head that leaves lots of lacing. Aroma has lots of fruitiness - citrus, apricot - and spiciness, similar with witbiers. Taste is fruity, spicy and hoppy, overall somewhat dry and a little tart. Flavours of citrus and grapefruit dominate. Palate is very smooth; the carbonation is flat. Medium to full bodied. Classy beer but not as rich and long as some strong blond Belgians.

Aparentemente parece una fanta de limón pero es una cerveza bastante fuerte para ser rubia. Con bastante sabor a alcohol y un amargor que se nota. Esta muy buena pero no se bebe fácil.

300313. Bottle at home. Pours hazy golden with a high head (careful while opening). Aroma Belgian yeast, some spicy notes. Not that hoppy. Medium bodied. Rather typical Belgian strong. Not Bad.

Zesty, fresh nose with strong hop bitterness. Pours hazy with a quickly thinning head. Flavour follows the nose with gently peppery notes and some good hop spice. Very nice.

Troebel, geel/lichtoranje met hele grote, vlokkige schuimkraag. Duidelijk aroma van hop, gist, citrus. Beetje zoet brood in de neus. Bitterheid overheerst in de smaak, licht zurig, zeer licht zoet. Nasmaak is vooral bitter.
