COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Origin: Gouden Carolus Hopsinjoor completes the taste pallet of the gamma Carolus-beers. Name: "Hopsinjoor" is a wordplay to for one thing the several hops which were used, and on the other hand the typical character of Mechelen of Gouden Carolus: the figure "opsinjoor" is intertwined with the history of Mechelen (see: www.opsinjoorke.be/Opsinjoorke/opsinjoor.htm). Kind of hops: 4 types of hops are used: Golding, Spalt, Hallertau and Saaz. These hops were fractioned at several times in the cooking process in order to keep a maximum of aroma. Regarding to taste we can say that the beer has a gentle, but nevertheless bitter aftertaste. Gold-yellow colour. Hoppy aroma. 50 IBU / 18.6 Plato

Bottle. Pours hazy dark yellow with a large white head. Aroma: fruity, spicy. Taste: hay, wheat, citrus, fruity, spicy (juniper, peppers). Light sweet, medium bitterness, somewhat sour. It?s hard to describe this beer. The body is somewhat thin, but the finish a fairly long and dry. It?s like a tripel meets saison?

Bottle 33cl. Hazy yellow/orange. With a huge white foamy head. Strong nose of "pils". Rich taste with a pleasant bitter finish. Medium to long length.

On tap at Tap and Mallet. Pours orange amber with medium white head. Very interesting aroma combining belgian yeast, malt, hops and something more I cannot exactly put a finger on. Taste is the same. Medium to full bodied. Great balance. Not too heavy. ABV is hidden well. Really enjoyable.

Het Anker on kuitenkin edelleen yksi suosikkipanimoista.

Very interesting beer, pour with strong yellow an enormous foamy white crown, plenty of hop to floral aromas, tastes great and strong, with fruity to hoppy flavours, the alcohol is almost indetectable (even with its 8%) Great beer

Draft. Define Belgian aroma and flavor right off the bat. Not much hoppiness, despite being called a Belgian IPA. Good, smooth beer though.

Bottle: Pours cloudy, light gold-amber with a creamy, off-white head. Light fruit, sugar aroma. Taste is very light...sugared fruit, yeast...a slight herbal hoppiness. Very soft and smooth.

Draft at Eulogy. Very cloudy blonde pour with a large frothy white head. Lots of soapy foam. Feels like a fuzzy Trippel. Grapefruit pith. Honeycomb. Orange bananas. Bamboo shoots. Chanterelles. Not uninteresting but missing anything extraordinary.

Have had a few times over the years. A nice Belgian style IPA offering, with floral citrus, sweet and bitter notes. Great carbonation. Not their best, but tasty!

Botella de 33 cl, adquirida en La Birra. Color dorado. Sabor a levadura, ligeramente citrico y amargo. Bastante carbonatada.
