3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Novare Res.
Pours a a nice golden color with a frothy white head. Aroma is slightly muted mostly hops and grassy scents. Flavor is a nice hoppy bite at first with a nice bunch of citrus flavors. The belgian yeast is really nice in with the hop profile. The ending is very dry and bitter and to me that’s perfect for this brew.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The comments about the head should not be taken lightly. A full three fingers of white rocky foam sits on a light yellow body. Spicy grassy hop aroma. Nice spicy belgian IPA, very grassy with a great malt base. Huge white yeasty floaties at the bottom if you want them.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 mL bottle. Pours cloudy golden yellow with huge sticky white head. The aroma is very floral with some hay and grass hops, honey, perfumy yeast, and a little bit of tropical fruit. The flavor is floral and spicy to begin with, but quickly takes on an assertive hoppy bitterness. There’s a deep, rich yeasty backbone to this beer that I really enjoy. It finishes dry and herbal. Pretty good stuff.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Yellow color, nice white head. Incredibly tasty, starts almost sweet (in the classic Carolus style) and then you get the full hop explosion, with a definetely unusual combination of them. Found it pretty easily bottled in north Italy belgian beer pubs, and now even on draft.

Cloudy yellow with a medium white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, citrus, some noble and/or grassy hops. Taste is mildly hoppy, balanced fairly well with the malt. Belgian yeast, mild sugar, citrus and mild corn. Pretty good.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Corked bottle and served in my big ole Karmeliet tulip: Clean golden hue topped by a HUGE fluffy head and left spotty lace upon the glassware. The aroma has notes of grassy and herbal hops, slight dusty yeast esters, biscuity malts and a touch of apple and citrus. The taste is moderately (by Belgian standards) hoppy with a surprising peppery spice finish. A bit chalky and dry malt midsection that does take away some enjoyment for the overall palate. The mouth feel is as expected to be, very sprite and aggressive with a medicinal finish. Overall much better than the first time I tried this (of course I was also trashed when I had it the first time resulting in a deleted rating). Still, I am remissed to say that this is not worth the price of $9 a bottle.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hazy golden with huge head. Mix of bubble gum belgian yeast and citrus hops in the aroma. Taste is more of the same. Big bitterness in the finish is a bit over the top. Light to medium body could be bumped up a bit. Lots of carb.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
How about some more head with my beer? No seriously. Pretty bold for a Belgian blonde - lots of citrus, lots of hops. But definitely not like the usual hop fix. Dry with spicy/peppery citrus at the end. Aftertaste lingers for a while.
