3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Immy (1955) - Virginia Beach, USA - OCT 5, 2008C&C 750 from LooseCanon - thanks! A bit of crust around the cork. Two seconds after removing the cage, the cork blows out with such force it knocked a chunk out of my ceiling. Pours with the biggest white head I’ve ever seen - the entire first glass was all foam, the second pour into my Duvel glass netted me 1/2" of beer and the rest foam. The beer itself is clear gold, well carbonated. Grassy nose, sweet grain, yeast and light fruit and biscuit. Rather dry and bitter, lightly spicy and a bit hot. Some grass and hay come out later. Odd beer, this one, but pretty enjoyable.

33CL bottle at home, huge head, probably poured too enthusiastic in my glass, decent aroma, good taste, a good beer.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Douberd (624) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 14, 2013
330 ml bottle, poured into my tulip glass. ABV 8%
Pale yellow to orange colour, slighty hazy. Huge white head on top, soapy and thick, with very good retention and heavy lacing on the glass.
Aroma is fruity, with the typical belgian yeast. Some sugar too and quite hoppy.
It brings me to mind the Gouden Carolus Tripel only less hoppy aroma much more fruity now.
Nice taste, fruity and sweet at first, turns quickly to bitterness. Medium duration. Quite hoppy, not so much flavour wise but palate wise, as it causes a numb feeling. An airy feeling on the mouthfeel, with a medium body and good carbonation.
Overall another great beer from Het Anker.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Fatehunter (749) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - MAY 7, 2013
Poured a big head with a cloudy dirty straw colored body.
The aroma is like a candied lemon.
The flavor hits from the beginning with a sharp bitterness the relents to a mild sweetness in the latter part of the profile. The finish is fairly short mild bitterness.
The texture is a bit on the fizzy side with a medium body.
The fizziness with the strong bitter beginning make this an aggressive ale. Enjoyable but be ready for it.

Draft at BXL East. Pours hazy gold with a thick white head. Great lacing. Aroma is fruity hops with some citrus notes. Taste is slightly bitter on the forefront, but does not linger much. Taste has elements of pine resin, grass, citrus rind and pith and slightl notes of belgian yeast and spice. Nice.
