Color: light yellow, very thick head and lace
Taste: My first thought was bit Duvelish. But I haven’t rated it here yet.. There is hidden after kick of hops bit citrus and perfume like. Very nice indeed
scrizzz (502), kirkland, Washington, USA Oct 5, 2008 lively aggressive bright white head, lemon oil aroma and all that yeast. the hops are strong with an astringent edge initially becomes dry later on Immy (1583), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Oct 5, 2008 C&C 750 from LooseCanon - thanks! A bit of crust around the cork. Two seconds after removing the cage, the cork blows out with such force it knocked a chunk out of my ceiling. Pours with the biggest white head I’ve ever seen - the entire first glass was all foam, the second pour into my Duvel glass netted me 1/2" of beer and the rest foam. The beer itself is clear gold, well carbonated. Grassy nose, sweet grain, yeast and light fruit and biscuit. Rather dry and bitter, lightly spicy and a bit hot. Some grass and hay come out later. Odd beer, this one, but pretty enjoyable. blutt59 (776), Dallas, Texas, USA Oct 3, 2008 bottle, cloudy yellow pour, large foamy belgian head, nose is fruity with sour citrus flavors and spice nicely carbonated finish MatSciGuy (234), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA Oct 2, 2008 [Bottle] Pours about 20% hazy gold liquid, 80% whitish rocky head. Absolutely massive. Significant noble hop nose, floral honey, orange peel, a bit of bready yeast in there as well. I’m waiting patiently for the head to subside so I can get a taste...
Nice light mouthfeel, plenty of hops, a bit of alcohol in there, but not overpowering, banana, and bready yeast. A mild bitterness finishes off the beer. bu11zeye (3768), Frisco, Texas, USA Oct 1, 2008 (750ml bottle, courtesy of blutt59) Pours a hazy golden body with a rocky off-white head. Aroma of florals, grass, citrus, biscuit, and some herbs. Flavor of mild grassy hops, Belgian yeast, pepper, light cracker, and spices with a dry finish.
