The head is kind of small fizzy and off-white. The aroma is a spicy sour apple with stewed cherry gummy candy. The flavor has a big alcohol character with a ton of brown sugar and old stale dark fruit. Great thick body with a nice warming finish. Solid Christmas beer. DrDavid (957), Johnson, Vermont, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jan 13, 2009 Bottle that Loz’s parents picked up for me in Bruges, Oct 08, consumed 11-01-09. Pours conker brown or possibly a little darker with a light beige head which quickly disappears. Initially some sweet dark molasses’sand even a bit of eraser/rubber on the nose quite bizzarely, seaside candy rock and spices. Taste is malty, spicy with dark sugars again, its soft in the mouth with a nice gentle carbonation. There is also some nutmeg and allspice, dark dried fruits, its a real sipper and is lovely.
