pantanap (1323), Chicago, Illinois, USA Mar 30, 2008 bottle (2007 vintage) from west lakeview..... pours a semi-clear dark plum brown and decent sized off white head..... strong fruity aroma that jumps out of the glass along with some black licorice and spice..... flavors continue along that front but something mediciinal and cloyingly sweet gets in the way of it for me. the anise is very prominent. mouthfeel was smooth and creamy but i couldn’t get past the sweetness and black licorice. Blom (390), Odense, Denmark Mar 26, 2008 Dark brown. Sweet aroma with notes of liquorice and dark fruits. The flavour is unpleasantly sweet with strong hints of anis, banana, syrup and port. I found it highly overrated. robinvboyer (1419), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Mar 7, 2008 330ml bottle courtesy of Mr. Manning.
