henry3r (586), Wichita, Kansas, USA Apr 18, 2007 The 750ml bottle poured a clear, deep ruby red beverage with a small creamy off-white head that was mostly lasting and left great lacing on the glass. The aroma was wonderful, displaying notes of banana, peach, cotton candy, licorice, coriander and caramel. The body was medium-full with soft carbonation and a silky, smooth texture. The flavor starts out moderately sweet staying that way throughout the medium-long finish. There is also a nice alcohol warmth at the end.

Aroma is slightly spicy toffee. Flavor is toffee-caramel with some alcohol warmth, turning to a dryer date-raisin-fig. Palate is creamy smooth with a nice dry prickly alcohol finish. A spiciness that subtly hints at coriander, ginger, and bitter orange peel. Excellent winter holiday warmer, even though I sampled in April! Pours opaquely cloudy rusty brown with tight tan head. The aroma is tremendously malty, rum, chocolate, caramel, just a hint of bubblegum, fruity sweetness. The flavor is initially a sweet, yeasty muffin type taste, then rum soaked raisins. Some orange comes out toward the finish. The aftertaste is sweet and slightly woody. Honestly, the flavor isn’t as rich as the aroma. But it’s still quite tasty. madcow75 (425), Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, USA Mar 18, 2007 Bottle. Pours brown/copper color with a medium tan head.
