Arrived a deep, mostly clear reddish brown with a creamy off-white head. Aroma is sweet, yeasty and spicy. Flavor is also sweet with dark fruits, hints of molasses, interesting spice notes and floral hops help to hide the apparent, but not over-powering alcohol character. Medium body and tingly carbonation. Yummy! BeerBiker (1392), Kathmandu, Nepal

My rating no. 200 exclusively to this christmasbeer.
An alcoholic brew which you truely can taste, but it’s not too much. Notes of licorice especially danish PIRATOS. But also caramel, hoppiness and more complex maltnotes. I’ll look forward to taste some in a year or two, which I’ve cellared in my secret room. larsga (2958), Oslo, Norway

Deep, sharpish banana aroma with notes of licorice and spice, and, very faintly, traces of alcohol. Taste is again a deep, sharpish, harmonic mix of banana and licorice with bread, yeast, and peppery spice notes. Very complex. Smooth mouthfeel. Dry, peppery licorice aftertaste with yeast notes. Quite a bit of alcohol heat. (0.33l bottle.) Boletus (52), Poland

This one is too alcoholic and perfumy, slightly too sweet and somewhat unbalanced. Aroma and flavor are dominated by pear brandy. Bartzilla (443), San Diego, California, USA

Not one of those you’re going to have more than 1 glass of in an evening. A sweet, thick and heavy sipper. I had to use an Orval to wash this down. So, as you can tell, I was having a good night. spporras (260), Finland

Red brown colour, clear and small, light brown, more or less fully diminishing head with fair lacing. Sweet, anise, licorice, malty and slightly acidic (initial) flavour. Alcoholic, astringent, lively carbonated and medium to full-bodied palate. Good brew but slightly too alcoholic! 18/11/06 glkaiser (1163), Seattle, Washington, USA

Aroma of sweet dark fruit with some spices. Very tasty sweet caramel and dark fruit taste...Alcohol is sharp, but not out of control. Definitely enjoyed...but man, this would be fan freaking tastic after a few years of aging. Palidor19 (1762), Brandon, Florida, USA

Its malts is whole and frothy. The many taste of fruits, caramel. toffee and mild mint makes this a winner among beer drinkers.
