In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

Tap @ The Raleigh Times: Clear golden with a ring white head. Flowery and citrus aroma. The Belgian yeasts aren’t to overpowering. I also noticed a little mandarin in there as well. Old school = good.

Golden cloudy, almost peach color in the light. Exploding foamy coating. Citrus and sour smell, a little alcohol. Hoppy and lemony taste, slightly sweet. Feels a little zesty but thin, strong alcohol aftertaste, almost vinous. Overall : Good beer with a taste too sharp, and missing some texture.

330ml bottle. Hazy golden yellow with a foamy white head. Flavors are biscuity malts, orange peel, lemon, bread, alcohol and honey with spicy and floral notes. Medium to full body, good carbonation, smooth texture.

Very clean given body, flimsy head. Too bubbly, too crisp for the style, needs more spice and body for me. The alcohol is fitting but overall there’s a lack of character. I suppose that makes it easier to drink, but that’s not what I look for in a Tripel. (75cl bottle from Delhaize Heverlee)

An amber, Belgian, unfiltered, foggy trippel with white head. Aroma is very spicy, complex yeasty, prune, malty. Taste is bitter. Pearly. Strong. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Well balanced tripel. Not too yeasty, not too spicy or sweet. Malt, hops, yeast and spices are easily distinguished and well combined

Hazy golden with a thick dense off-white head. Aroma is very citrusy, coriander, peppery, some belgian yeast. Average to very sweet with a somehow drier finish but only light bitter. Full bodied, average carbonation, smooth mouthfeel. A good blond sipper.

Pours a hazy gold. A very wheaty and grain aroma. A strong wheat taste with citrus and grains. A dry grain and malt aftertaste.
