In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

Bottle at Rootz at the Harbour, Scheveningen. Poured a hazy light amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is Belgian yeast, zesty citrus. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a big yeasty, crisp alcoholic light citrus palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. This is a big alcoholic beer and it doesn’t let you forget that!

Bottle from Voldby. Pours hazy golden with a good white head. Sweet fruity taste with notes of banana, yeast, hops, alcohol, malts. Medium boby. Lively carbonation. Slight bitter finish that ends up a bit sweet. Great.

Pours a slightly hazy gold with two fingers of fluffy white head diminishing to a thin skim and light spotty lacing. Nose is Belgian yeast bubblegum, cloves and banana, with a little hop bitterness. Taste follows suit, starting sweet and moving to a bitter, peppery finish. Mouth feel is medium to light, with decent sustained carbonation and a bitter, warming finish. Really, really nice Belgian. And for $2.50 a bottle? Unbeatable. Unbelievable! I’d have to say it’s an even better quality-for-price ratio than Leffe! If it weren’t for the fact that the best before was last week, I’d go back to the store and buy out everything they had on the shelf. Mind you, I’m convinced there’s nothing at all wrong with it now. Really, highly recommended.

Samean appelsiinin värinen, hyvin tiheä vaahto. Hyvin persikkainen tuoksu, jossa myös hiivaa. Maussa persikkaa, hiivaa, hieman anista ja humalan poltetta jälkimaussa.

Bottled either...March 8th or August 3rd 2013. I suspect it is the latter since Europe uses Day-Month-Year. A nice popped when the cork came off, it pours, straight from the fridge, a 3/4 foam to 1/4 liquid mix. I can now see a hazy light golden brew that certainly leaves some nice lacing behind. A big yeasty aroma I get followed by some cloves, some banana, and a nice touch of some hoppy bitterness but, not too much, mind you. The taste is lovely. I get more banana and clove with some hints of bubblegum in the taste and the hoppy bitterness is in the taste too and I like it! There’s some other spice here that reminds me of cinnamon, or is it nutmeg? How aboot both so I’m covered.. Medium and smooth bodied, medium carbonation, smooth as silk this is with pretty much no presence from the hefty abv. Yep, this one heck of a good Tripel in my book. Pardon me while I sip the rest of the bottle away.

Bottle, caged and corked. Pours with an unbelievable visual presentation ... golden orange with the most massive, thick foam pile on top. The head takes forever to cede far enough to start drinking. Once you can get to it, you get the classic tripel ... frothy mouthfeel, subtle tropical fruit and a classic yeasty swirl. Yummy. (#5581, 7/21/2014)

Bottle from York Beer & Wine. A pale hazy golden coloured that pours with a large foamy head. It has floral orange blossom flavours, exotic fruits with a spicy sulphur and vanilla finish.

Bottle 33cl. Hazy yellow with a heavy white top that lasts. Aroma and taste has some sour elements. Not too special, but probably good with hot weather.

From the bottle shop, Brugge. Nice golden colour with a huge white head. Smell is of citrus, some apple and yeast. Taste is fruity to start, with a dry medium bitter finish. This is very well balanced for the ABV. Nice, hoppy and refreshing.

pours almost cloudy pale grey-ish yellow with a creamy white head, good retention and lacing. booze, lemonade, honey, candi, flowery grass and perfume, peppery tingling and perfumey booze, yeast, white grapes, coriander (loads of it - even though there seems to be none as per ingredients’ list) and other bitter herbs, herbal tea, sulfur traces, belgian and fruity esters - some soft phenolic molecules too. average to moderate carbonation, light to medium body - oily, relatively dry, boozy, slightly harsh, almost astringent and assertive grassy-spicy finish. unique tripel. just not fond of it.
