In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

11/13/2006 6:55:29 AM On Tap at Dopey’s Elixir. Strong Tripe with hints of fruit, honey and banana. Prickly mouthful ends in prickly finish. Somewhat tart. Very good.

Clear golden body. Huge white head. Aroma of belgian yeast, spicies, fruits (pear and citrus), honey. For the flavours, first sweet malt, honey and spicy notes then comes fruit, mostly pear. Finish is sweet, fruity, slightly warm with an hint of bitterness. Hides well it´s 9%. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Toft Vin, Copenhagen - fuzzy golden pour with white head. Fruity and light malty aroma and taste, light caramel sweetness, some citric lemon flavour, yeasty, some herbal and floral nuances going on, citric spice towards the dry finish. Nice!

Bottle - 330ml. Superb, slightly hazy, golden body with an average, lasting, white frothy head. Lovely malty/hoppy aroma with honeyish, citrusy, herbal, and yeasty hints. Alcohol is subtle. Its robust malty/hoppy taste carries honeyish, coriander, grainy, and orange notes. Ends with a long, moderately warming, bittersweet finish. A classic!

Really, really nice Tripel. Everything perfect in balance: the fruits, the yeast and the citrus tones that give this beer the perfect freshness.

0.33 l bottle from drankgigant.nl, best before 1/7/2017. Clear, golden yellow with a massive, very fine pored and foamy, stable, white head. Intense, fruity-yeasty aroma of predominantly peach and vanilla, accompanied by banana, citrus, coriander, wheat and orange peel. Sweetish, fruity-yeasty taste again dominated by peach and vanilla with notes of banana, wheat, orange peel, coriander and citrus. Medium long, yeasty and quite bitter finish. Medium to full body, creamy and effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Lovely tripel, very much reminiscent of a witbier although none of its specific ingredients are present, not even wheat. So easily drinkable, abv not detectable and absolutely mouth filling. Awesome stuff!

12 ounces bottle from SAQ. Aroma: typical Belgian yeast giving some apple and pear, barley malt. App: hazy golden, medium white head, nice lacing. Taste and palate: medium to full body, creamy, fizzy, fruity and light bitter finish. Overall: wow! What a great Belgian tripel. So smooth, perfect carbonation, just a tad bitter to make it not boring. Prefect palate imo. Glad I bought 3. One of the greatest beer available at SAQ.
