COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

330ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours hazy yellow, thick white head. Aromas of bread, yeast, spice, white sugar. Taste is sweet, light herbal bitter. Clean finish, touch of booze-burn. Not bad.

Perfectly clear golden color, mountain of white froth. Citrus peel, coriander, banana, spice, and bread malt. Light sweetness with a smidgen of spiciness. Very fizzy, smooth, and barely medium-bodied. Little alcohol presence in the slightly bitter finish.

33cl bottle served in a Struise glass. Quite light for the style with a huge white head. Too much head which takes an age to dissipate. Flavour is typical Belgian tripel but sweeter than most. Not particularly strong in any one area (unlike St Feuillien tripel) which can have the effect of making it taste a little flat rather than well balanced. Much prefer the van der kaizer rood to this.

Pours a pale golden color into a pint glass. Two inches of head that reduces quickly to 1 cm. Slight lacing on the sides of the glass. Citrusy with hints of spice and cloves in the aftertaste. Deceptively light in alcohol taste for a beer with 9%. Excellent tripel.

Huge chunky white head and fantastic lacing.. Bright yellow with only the slightest haze.. pretty. Wow factor on the nose ... sweet toasted biscuits ... lemon verbena.. and a very characteristic spiciness... more complex than I can pick out... wow again. Big Belgian pale malts are closely guarded by the yeasty flavors... fruits like nothing I’ve enjoyed in a long time.. underripe pear and lesser apricot ... Perfect mouthfeel with a creaminess that allows the the to carbonation burst with flavors with every sip. White pepper and hints of nutmeg. Perfect sweetness ties every sip together and leaves a lingering flavor until the next. Best tripel I can think of... certainly of the Continental variety. Murica should step up the game.

Bottle at home. Sugary, sweet, sickly, dry toffee and caramel, fruity, bit too fizzy.

Blond biertje dat redelijk bitter smaakt. Een heel mooie blonde kleur en schuimkraag. Je smaakt de alcohol redelijk goed.
