COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

75 cl. bottle pours a light amber fluid with a decent two finger white head. Smells peppery, lemongrass.Medium bodied with a bubbley, lively mouthfeel. Superb lemongrass, black pepper, leather, and woody oak wine barrel taste. Finishes with a slight hop - alcohol tang. Another great Belgium triple.2003

UPDATED: AUG 29, 2010 Rating January 2008: Just one of the finest belgium beers. A cloudy yellow coloured beer, fulle palate, spicy bitter taste. Rating August 2010: Clear blond coloured beer with large white head and lots of carbonation. Hoppy spicy aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is spicy hopyy ending bitter dry. This beers belongs to the top in Belgium.

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2009 Just looking through some rates and I seem to disagree with most. This seems fairly heavy and I can taste the aclohol. Liqourice possibly, I don’t like that. All that said, I’m enjoying it. Sharp flavours that if I knew more about beer I could tell you. Try one, very nice. Re-rate hmmm much better now. Love it.

Very nice fruit aroma. Great flavor with nice spice character and a good yeast flavor. Alcohol is very noticiblen but it has a nice full body that makes it a very nice treat.

ONE OF MY FAVORITES, AN ABSOLUTE PARTY IN THE MOUTH, POURS A CLOUDY GOLDEN COLOR, AROMA IS SWEET, LIKE FRUITS OR ALMOST CANDY, FLAVOR IS THE SAME, HINTS OF HONEY AND FRUIT WITH THAT VERY PRESENT 9% ALC, FULL MOUTH, NOT A VERY LINGERING AFTERTASTE BUT GOES DOWN SMOOTH, AND LEAVES YOU IN A SMOOTH STATE, VERY GOOD

Pous a lightly cloudy gold color, with a medium frothy white head. smells of Belgian candy sugar, sticky sweet fruits, and some yeast. Nice sharp smell. The flavor was much the same, with all the standard flavors of a tripel. Not overly sweet, with a definite good dosage of alcohol which was noticeable throughout. The fruits seem to keep the sweetness at bay for the most part. Not my favorite style, but this is well crafted.

UPDATED: JAN 5, 2008 Pours a cloudy golden color with thick, foamy white head. Nice fuity aroma of apple, pear and grape. Very pleasantly crisp with hints of lighter fruits such as apple, pear and grape with a nice alcohol balance rendering it not too sweet. I enjoyed this beer very much.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden yellow with some sediment. Nose was sweet and fruity. Head was big and frothy, left nice lacing. On the palet it was very creamy. Again very fruity and sweet. A great triple!
