COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

Fresh lemon and orange aroma. Dark golden color, white head, good lace. Very citrus, sweet, alcohol well hidden, starts off with lemon flavors and turn orange. Long hoppy, little dry finish.

Started pouring and the foam was overwhelming.. Like a bad keg pour in high school... Took about 10 minutes to settle... Pours very cloudy with some sediment on the bottom. Has a nose of yeast, and dirty socks. The taste is full body with some malty characteristics of caramel, slightly sour, some green apple, and even some chocolate flavor believe it or not. After getting past the pour and the nose, this is not all that bad! The flavors are great, but the aroma is horrific!

Aroma of bubblegum, canteloupe, and slight malt. Pours light blonde and hazy with a great blanket of head. Tastes sweet of bubblegum and slight sour yeast. Sweet and perfumey.

Really like this one. Nose is a big explosion of candy, floral and some sweet fruit (apricot?). Up front in the mouth is a good hint of candy, with some floral hops. Backing is sweet malt, maybe some caramel. Pours medium orange with almost no head retention or lacing. Medium creamy in the mouth with lively carbonation.

Brown 33cl bottle, best before May 2009, drank in April 2007. Poured into a Corsendonk glass. Looked fine, dull, dirty copper colour, slight haze. Good white head sat on top. Aroma of apple pie and sugar, strange but true! Sour and fizzy, dry and yeasty. Complexed flavours attack your tastebuds, difficult to split them from each other, I liked it. For a 9% beer there is not a great mouthfeel, but there isn’t in many triples, again strange. A very drinkable beer, would like to see it on tap on day.

Small bottle from a tulip. Party rate. Overall nice beer. Golden color with a huge white head. Great yeasty presence and hop profile. Complex with light fruits in the finish.

33 cl bottle.
Rated on 20110712.
Pours murky golden color with a huge foamy and lasting head, also leaves some lacing. Aroma of fruits, mostly peach, grass, light spices and distant honey. Some soap and begian yeast can be found. Flavor of wheat, peach, spices and some honey. High CO2, bitter and refreshing palate.
