Gouden Haven ( or,"Golden Harbor") is an authentic Dutch beer, crafted in the Dutch Pilsner tradition in the netherlands. Our name refers to the Golden Age of Holland when during the 17th century, our ports were bustling with ships carrying fine goods from all over the world, and a time when Dutch beer was first exported. Brewed with crystal clear, artesian water, our European styled pilsner offers superior taste of discernable character.

Cold 12oz bottle: Pours a clear straw color with a medium alabaster head that quickly dissolves into a layer, mostly around the edges, with some lacing. Light grains, grass, earth and light citrus. Light bodied, crisp and well carbonated. Ending is grainy with notes of earth and grass.

Pours a very clear dark golden color with a small white head. Aroma is skunky, yeasty, and slightly sweet. The flavor is just about the same. A skunky lager for sure. 12 oz. bottle.

Typical clear golden color with minimal head. As soon as the bottle was opened, the skunked aroma was noticeable. The flavor was slightly acidic, and then mostly sweet. Not too bad.

Pale yellow, indistinct aroma. Small, froth white head. Very thin, with some corny, mildly sweet malt. No hopping, and pitifully bland.

Stanky skunk lager aroma. Crystal clear. Clean lager flavor, some grassy earthiness in there. Its ok for a lager, but your better off with Urquell. Palate is a little rough for a lager, not overcarbed like many lager are.

I did not really like this beer. Grainy, bitter, not very fun to drink. Also a little skunky, and I’ve had this more than once so I don’t think it was old.

This is Haineken without the skunk. Flavor sucks though. Acidic indigested vomit. There’s nothing more to it.
