On tap. Red brown with barely no head. Very strong aroma of ripe and dried fruits, caramel, toffee, little hop. Sweet but with a perfectly hidden alcohol. Hard is to hide you’ve just drank one. Really flavourful but quite challenging.

Sep 22, 2008 bottlle, bbf 2011. aroma : nice "well balanced aged-beer"(good stuff) , dark fruits, faint hops. great aroma. unclear brown with small brown head. looks aged/belgian.
flavor is a little too much dark fruits/raisins for my taste, also some sweet in there. alc is hidden. nice brew. could be a little more balanced, but imo a good attempt at what the belgians are masters of.

Sep 6, 2008 Pale thin head. Bright copperbrown reddish colour. Round soft malty taste. Alcohol is not coming through. Slight grassiness in the taste. A decent hoppiness.

Sep 2, 2008 Bottle. Nice dark red brown body. Small almost creamy beige head. Short lived. Very heavy sweet malty aroma, hints of licorice. Heavy sweet flavour. Feels strong. Some coffee in the bitter finish. Pleasant carbonation and mouthfeel. (At home, 27.06.08)

Pours dark amber with firm a head. Sweet aroma with hoppy notes. Very (too) sweet flavour with some notes of toffee and liquorice. Alcohol is well hidden.

Pours murky brown with firm beige head.
Pleasant aromas of cloves and stewed fruit.
Very fruity taste. Silky smooth. Well hidden alcohol. A great beer.
