COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Blue Mountain Stout is brewed to be enjoyed together with chocolate deserts or coffee. Dark roasted beans from the worlds best coffee - Blue Mountain - together with bitter chocolate, gives the beer its complexity in aroma and flavor - that coffee and chocolate lovers love.

Bottle. I have given it 3.3 and that is because it is the best beer from GB, good strong malt flavor but the body is to thin.

A very dark brown almost black beer with a nice aroma of coffee, hops and chocolate. Flavour is coffee again (wow... no, shit sherlock?!) with a soft and mild finish of chocolate.

Bottle. Impressive in its stoutiness. Really interesting chocolate notes going on, burnt and spicy like a mexican hot chocolate almost. Coffee grounds/dregs aftertaste a bit too overpowering though.

UPDATED: SEP 11, 2009 Thick black with white/browny head. Aroma and taste of roasted malts. Soft texture. Chocolate & coffee. Fine lacings on the glass. Fine dominant hop finish. Actually good quite powerfull bite. One of the better products from the brewery! Great! Rerate September - 09. Roasty, ashy, dusty, fine coffee and synthetic chocolate. Smooth. Ok roasted and sticky end. 3,6 - 3,4

Bottled. Sweet coffee aroma. Black color, light brown head, good lace. Light sweet, coffee and roasted. Sandy and dry finish. Would love to try the unpasteurized version on tap some day.

UPDATED: OCT 10, 2006 (Bottle) Pours dark red/brown. Roasted coffee and dark chocolate/roasted cocoa with notes of burned and toffee-ish malt. Medium dry and roasted flavor. Medium, dark body with typical "stout-ish" dry, bitter ending. A tiny bit sour. Ok, but nothing special.

Bottle. Black with red outlines. A creamy beige head. Aroma is roasted, coffee, some toffee and chocolate. Low to medium carbonated. Nice bitter flavor, malt, and chocolate/coffee notes. Long finish.

Gr0ve (2177) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 28, 2006
330 ml bottle. Black except that there are some ruby red hues at the edges. Throws a tall creamy brownish gray head that clings to the glass. Bread and yeast and a lightly roasted coffee background. Cocoa-like chocolate powder in the nose. Medium-dry powdery and lightly sour mouthfeel. Roasted flavours. Finish is is sour at first, then it turns into something more bitter. Well-done stout.

Almost black with red outlines. A dense, creamy beige head. Aroma is roasted, coffee, some toffee with a finish of chocolate. Low to medium carbonated. Sweet at first, then the coffee mixes with quite a powerful hoppyness. Again a chocolaty flavour wins out at the end.
