Blue Mountain Stout is brewed to be enjoyed together with chocolate deserts or coffee. Dark roasted beans from the worlds best coffee - Blue Mountain - together with bitter chocolate, gives the beer its complexity in aroma and flavor - that coffee and chocolate lovers love.

(Draught at Københavnske Øldage). Let me first state that I’m not a big fan of coffe stout. This, however is a big exception. The aroma is slightly sour fruity coffee and cocoa like a fine criollo chocolate and arabica coffee. Very balanced flavour with caramel and toffee malt and slightly burnt roasted chocolate. Slightly spicy. Palate is soft and clean with a rounded bitter aftertaste.

Pours pitch black with shortlasting creamy light brown head. Aroma is coffee and hard roasted malt, citric/orange notes too. Taste is coffee, roasted malt and chocolate. Sweet and citric notes blend in. Lasting coffee bitterness in the finish. I guess I’m beer/coffee addicted :)

UPDATED: SEP 10, 2007 Flaske. Helt frisk, er der en smule for meget kant, men denne forsvindr efter et par måneder. En rigtig god kaffestout, med duft af kaffe. Smage af kafe med en lille smule lakrids, og som sagt en smule kant fra frisk.

A very well balanced stout with an earthyness balanced with a good bit of chocolate malt and coffee. this one has been looking at me from a trade with Maria a month or so ago. finally a rainy day for some stout. the 6.5% darts about in your mouth. A full bodied critter. funny how mellow coffee from the mountains of Jamacia made it all the way to Denmark and then into my living room in upstate NY. A nice fruity tartness in the body. We be Jammin.

A very good beer. A good surprise. After tasting the classic from same brewery, my expectations were not high. But this is a prety good stout with flavours of coffee and chocolate and a hoppy finnish.

Bottle. Pours reddish black with medium beige head. Aroma is sour green apples, citrus, juniper berries, plum and chocolate. Taste is initial medium sweet then light bitter. Body is creamy and smooth with soft carbonation. Finish is long with hints of caramel, coffee and licorice.

Bottled. Sweet coffee aroma. Black color, light brown head, good lace. Light sweet, coffee and roasted. Sandy and dry finish. Would love to try the unpasteurized version on tap some day.

12 oz bottle, via Storm. Pours a clear very dark brown, almost black, colored body under a one finger creamy brown head that fell to a thin film. Aroma is pretty nice, roasty and chocolaty with lots of coffee. This is right up my alley. A little chalkiness as well. Flavor has a nice roasty fore, fading to some dry roasted coffee, burnt malt, and licorice on the finish. Some light alcohol and chalky dryness also. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a fairly dry astringent finish. Texture is just shy of oily, and the carbonation is a little too fizzy. This was pretty nice, but then I AM a sucker for coffee beers.
