yespr (6361), Copenhagen O, Denmark Mar 1, 2007 Pours pitch black with shortlasting creamy light brown head. Aroma is coffee and hard roasted malt, citric/orange notes too. Taste is coffee, roasted malt and chocolate. Sweet and citric notes blend in. Lasting coffee bitterness in the finish. I guess I’m beer/coffee addicted :) Gusgus (115), Tanumshede, Sweden May 25, 2006 (Draught at Københavnske Øldage). Let me first state that I’m not a big fan of coffe stout. This, however is a big exception. The aroma is slightly sour fruity coffee and cocoa like a fine criollo chocolate and arabica coffee. Very balanced flavour with caramel and toffee malt and slightly burnt roasted chocolate. Slightly spicy. Palate is soft and clean with a rounded bitter aftertaste. Defreni (481), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 15, 2007 Updated: Sep 10, 2007Flaske. New York, USA Jul 18, 2007 A very well balanced stout with an earthyness balanced with a good bit of chocolate malt and coffee. this one has been looking at me from a trade with Maria a month or so ago. finally a rainy day for some stout. the 6.5% darts about in your mouth. A full bodied critter. funny how mellow coffee from the mountains of Jamacia made it all the way to Denmark and then into my living room in upstate NY. A nice fruity tartness in the body. We be Jammin. jbrus (4117), Delft, Netherlands Oct 1, 2006 Bottled. Sweet coffee aroma. Black color, light brown head, good lace. Light sweet, coffee and roasted. Sandy and dry finish.
