Buttery and toasty aroma, little menthol and rubber. Toasty and syrupy flavor, plastic, some hops and warming alcohol. Medium bodied, a bit unclean and not too warming. bierkoning (4933), La Tropica, Netherlands Sep 16, 2008 Bottle @ a lovely patio in Copenhagen Harbor. Orange brown color. Malty, slightly buttery aroma. Firm malty roastbitter flavor with licorice and butter. Full bodied. Does remind me a bit of a well made German Doppelbock. Well done. Pinball (593), Allerød, Denmark Aug 24, 2008 aroma : caramel, malt, banana. good aroma. appears brown with large light brown thick head. strong flavor, initial impresion is way more than 7%, then other flavors kick in, raisins, caramel, malt, brown sugar, then a little roasted something, end with some bitterness. reminds me of belgian beer somehow even if it is not at all. Overall a good tasty beer than you can take your time to enjoy.
