cmillward (418), Orlando, Florida, USA Oct 17, 2009 Bottle shared kindly by TheCheeseMan. Dark brown/black, slight head. Chocolate and bourbon are prominent, some oaky vanilla, nice roud mouthfeel from tannins and alcohol. Very tastey. Lowish carb, a sipper for sure. ChristianScheffel (4431), Odense, Denmark Jul 27, 2009 Black with a small light brown head. Aroma of chocolate with lots of oak, vanilla and tannin. Roasted malt flavour of chocolate, with a little tannin and lots of alcohol. The alcohol is hot, but the beer is smoother than the non-aged Ølfabrikken Winter Porter. gunhaver (1024), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 11, 2009 Cheeseman pulled this bottle out of his ass at the BA Bolita tasting. [:17] Dark brown pour, creamy bubbly head and lacing. Nose is big bourbon, caramel, chocolate, coffee, and vanilla. Bourbon flavors, chocolate, caramel, and a nice hoppy, bitter finish. Tasty. That’s all I put for palate. ’Nuff said. daknole (2802), Plantation, Florida, USA Jun 28, 2009 CHEESEMAN! Whats that I say? CHEESEMAN! Shared graciously at Cigar City. Great damn beer.Black pour. Aroma is full of fruit, bourbon, chocolate, roasted malt and some hints of tartness on the nose...and the tartness is on the tongue, but very lightly. Flavor is full of chocolate, molasses, raisins, wood, brown sugar and is damn good. CHEESEMAN! Papsoe (14613), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 12, 2009 Updated: Jun 27, 2009Bottle 75 cl. Pours completely opaque pitch black with a tiny, tiny beige head that quickly dissipates. Tart woody nose with notes of raisins and prunes. Very low in carbonation., hard roasted malts, raisins and a little rum and wood with a fairly distinct underlying acidity. Subdued bitterness. Not sure what I expected, but this came somewhat surprising. 010509 Ungstrup (14724), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 8, 2009 Bottled. A black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of roasted malt, wood, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of roasted malt, which also lends the beer a bit of acidity, combined with notes of wood and lighter notes of alcohol and vanilla.
