Pours hazy amber color with a thin white head. The aroma is mild dominated by grassy and bready notes with tones of light spices and a touch of alcohol. Flavor is malty and bitter hoppy and warming from the alcohol with a long lasting biding finish. A bit sharp and not the most balanced but definately the most challeging from GB so far!! A nice winter warmer.

Bottle at GB - thanks Mike. Clear amber/golden - white head. Malty, sweetness, raisins, vineous, no obvious oldness, caramel, light hoppy, bread, ryebread, sweetness. A bit too alcoholic.

Pours a lightly hazy deep dark amber with a medium creamy off white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is powerfully vinious, lightly musky, some caramel and sweet dried fruits. Low carbonation, rather oily. Flavour is sugary sweet, sharp in alcohol. Light dry and musky finish.

Clear deep amber with tiny head. Sweet aroma with fruits, hops and caramel notes. Sweet vinious flavor with caramel, ripe fruits and hops. Ends bitter. Thanks Mike.

Bottled. Dark amber coloured with a rather small head. A bit too mild in both aroma and flavour - notes of malt, dark dried fruit and caramel.

Dark amber with a nice, creamy head. This bottle is 1½ years old. The aroma has notes of apple and malt. The flavour is sweetish with notes of candy sugar, apple and a hint of plum. It should have more complexity and depth, IMO it’s disappointing. 1960

(Thanx to Mike) exp. date. 9-11-06, tasted 26-5-07. 33 cl bottle. Cloudy dark amber colour with a nice white head. Sweet malty aroma with notes of caramel, little hoppy and some wine-like. Also very complex flavour with some smooth caramel notes, port-wine, malt and ends up light bitter, very nice endeed.

Bottle. Pours a red-brown colour with a big creamish light brown long lasting head. Sweet, fruity alcoholic aroma. Quite sweet, caramel malty and aroma with a good touch of alcohol. Bitter finish.

33 cL bottle. Pours slight unclear redish brown. Short lasting off-white head. Aroma is korn, alcohol in a wineous way, there is a blend of hops and caramel malt too. Moutfeel is round and filling. Taste has the same notes as the aroma but more roasted caramel malt to it, initial sweetness that turns into a bitter aftertaste. Good but nothing special.
