Som en lillebror ift. Svanekes markant bedre version. Virker lidt slap, vandig. lidt schwarzbier-agtig?

Jun 12, 2008 Thanks Papsoe. It’s black with a light brow, creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and light chocolate – hmmm. The flavour has a light sweetness, light notes of roasted malt and chocolate and a light bitterness. The overall impression is VERY light and watery compared to the Svaneke version :(

Pours dark brown, bordering on black. A very large brown, fizzy head. Aroma is heavy dark chocolate, cocoa and a slight touch of vanilla. Rather high carbonated, small bubbles and a little thin for its 6,0% Flavour is lots of sweet chocolate, some astringency, lightly roasted. Fine, but very chocolatey and a bit thin.

May 17, 2008 Black with a small bubbling short lasting brown head, no lazings. Aroma of raw bitter chocolate and sirup. Quite heavy carbonated, lots of bitter chocolate notes, but no where as dominant as in the Svaneke version

May 5, 2008 Black colour with a brown head. malty, chocolate sweet aroma with a vague coffee note. Light roasted, coffee bitter flavor with a chocolate sweet finish.

May 2, 2008 Tasted 2008-05-02. Pours black with grey/brown head. My initial thought was, that this is very much inferior to Svanekes version. More blant, a bit smoky in an off way. Practically no aftertaste. But as it warms up, it does grow on me. There is a hoppyness that is not present in the Svaneke version, that I kind of like. It is a bit less chocolate-y, but overall I like it. It’s quite tasty. I’m thinking that the comparison isn’t fair. The only resemblance to Svanekes version is the label! On it’s own, this beer is great!
