Aroma a little too caramelly, but otherwise a real nice chocolate stout. Chocolate taste is well balanced, doesn’t dominate too much.

Bottle 66cl. @ chris_o’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2008.
Dark brown color with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to light light heavy malty, chocolate. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. (020808)

Bottle 66cl. Dark brown/black body with a large dense (but quickly disappearing) brown head. Chocolate and a little malt in the nose. Medium body with lots of chocolate and malt. A light hoppy " and bubbly" finish.

Chris_o’s GBBF Shindig 08. Smells of fish and chips. Hints of chocolate. Soft mouthfeel. Very faint bitter dark chocolate in the finish. Not quite firm enough in any direction - it’s a beer, but doesn’t quite pull together for me. OK.

A Mes rate: Bottle at Chris O’s Pre GBBF Tasting
Black with a thin beige head. Decent chocolate and fronted with some reasonable hoppage. Good malt and plenty stouty just nothing to really get excited about.
