MrAndo (39), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Oct 27, 2006 Got this beer as part of a beer of the month club thing, and man was it good! This is a great example of a belgian strong ale. It is light and drinkable with a little bit of that sour stong note to let you know this is no wussy beer. there is a little bit of spice and bannana in there but , it could use a little more. BeerandBlues2 (3201), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Oct 25, 2006 Pours hazy straw yellow with a small and fizzy, frothy white head, some lined lacing. Aroma is floral and fruity hops, grassy yeast (earth, dough), malt (meal, straw) and bananas. Moderate acidity and bitterness, sweet floral yeast and hops, malty body, alcohol burn and spiced banana notes. Medium and warm bodied, fizzy and spicy palate. gputty (456), Virgina Beach, Virginia, USA Sep 30, 2006 From 750. Hazy bright orange pour with large foamy off white head. Nose is fruity spice, peach and biscuit. Flavor follows with a bitter finish. bigrond (1043), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 21, 2006 this might have been the worst belgium beer I’ve had that was actually brewed in Belgium. No real flavor But I will say the alcohal is hidden nicely. It’s smooth with a flat finish. pass on this one. MesandSim (5790), London, Greater London, England Sep 4, 2006 A Sim Rate (on tap at Heeren van Liedekercke): Sweet but almost bleach-like aroma. Peaches. Great colour. Looks like a fruit beer but flavour proves it’s not. Thick syrupy texture for a tripel. Slightly sour flavour. Not much of a finish, but a nice beer overall. RaginCajun (284), Dallas, Texas, USA Sep 1, 2006 Very sweet, fruity aroma with a hint of bread/pasta. Not very sweet for a Belgian, and I like that. Has a nice bitter finish to even out the sweet nose. Extra pts. for the alcohol %. Easily my most favorite Belgian to date. harmfuldrunk (288), New Jersey, USA Aug 16, 2006 Updated: Aug 26, 2006very nice triple i say, spiced up a bit to seperate from the regular blonde. a nice maltiness make it a little dry after taste is good worth popping occationally. especially at 7 bucks a 750ml thornecb (1737), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA Aug 12, 2006 Goliath. Pours a hazy amber into a tulip. Significant, fluffy micro head with good retention. Earth and bread aromas. Crisp and dry with upfront bread and a lingering slightly sour finish.
