On tap at the Govnors Brew Pub. Poured a lighter yellow color with a small sized white head. Aromas and tastes of grains and malty sweetness. Thinner and watery body.

On tap at the brewpub. The body was medium gold with a white colored head. The aroma was malty with some grainy bread. The taste was toasted almonds with some bread crust. A pretty good version of the style.

Had this one on tap in a sampler flight. Mild, like weak cream soda flavor. No noticeable nose. Disappointing.
2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Cornfield (5277) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - SEP 5, 2005
UPDATED: MAY 19, 2006 A beer this light is a strange thing to nitro-infuse, a process that, in my opinion mutes both the aroma and taste. It’s got a clear golden body with a creamy head that does some incredible lacing, but it’s downhill after that. The aroma is simply a faint, indistinguishable sweetness. The flavor is a light, biscuity malt, lightly sweetened. Creamy, to be sure, but, so what?

UPDATED: SEP 5, 2005 5.1% ABV I always object to nitro-infused beers on principle alone...I can turn any beer into a cream ale or Dry stout with a quick injection of nitro... And creaminess and texture are really all thisa beer has to offer...
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 StewardofGondor (1934) - Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 18, 2005
Somewhat deep gold and transparent in appearance with a thin off-white sheen for the head. Reserved aroma includes bread, hay and lemon butter on crescent rolls. Hits the palate as smooth and light. Carbonation is perfectly in palace. This is a rare occurrence - a cream ale that’s actually creamy! Bready fullness and a muted persona to keep it modest. Well done.

Golden bodied with a white head, nitrogen held the head and the overall feel was similar to Boddington’s. Moderately malted aroma with some smoke and nuts. Flavor was big on dry-roasted peanuts (almost like peanut butter with its creamy mouthfeel). Dry finish. This one definitely held my interest.

Undrinkable. I just couldnt do it, very creamy almost sickening. Others with us just loved this stuff, so maybe I am crazy.
