COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Amber colored beer is full bodied. There is some malt flavor but the hops dominate in bitterness, flavor and aroma. Hops are added 7 different times throughout the brewing and fermentation process. Originally brewed with high alcohol and hop levels to withstand the voyage to India to supply the British troops.

Rating number 2345!

Orange body with an off-white, frothy head. I liked the aroma, but it was a bit too faint - floral, grapefruit, and an earthy hop bitterness over sweet malt. It’s also a bit thin, but tasty. There’s a good caramel backbone here, but the hops dominate with a sharp bitterness that lingers long into the finish. Good stuff.

Copper ish amber ish with hardly no nose but pretty good lacing. The nose was sweet and citrusy with hops, more towards the back of the taste there was more malt character. Kind of bland but very drinkable.

Amber bodied with a small, creamy, off-white head that stayed awhile. Initial aromas were like iced tea with lemon, but grapefruit came across as it warmed with underlying malts that strived to get noticed. Flavor showcased a good hop character with a moderately heavy, earthy bitterness and lengthy citrus at the end. A touch of sugary-sweetness in the finish provided a nice contrast. Oily and a little creamy on the palate. Underdone for an IPA but a damn fine beer.

Cask, RAF Chicago 2004: Chewy yeast mixed with freshly sliced grapefruit and sappy pine cones. . .Slightly cloudy amber with a bubbly head. Lemon rind flavours with more grapefruits and a nice moist bitterness.

Poured a copper color with a bubbly white head. Perfumey hop aroma and a bitter citrus hop taste and mild carbonaton. This was an average IPA, nothing outstandish.
