COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark amber in color with medium body. The rich caramel and malt flavor is balanced by the light hop bitterness.

The nose is malty and sweet, taste is flat and dry and citrusy. Sure there is caramel here and there but it just isnt comming out very well. Very much reminds me of Killians Irish red that has been left out to get flat.

UPDATED: MAY 19, 2006 The aroma of this amber-colored ale is of intense malty sweetness, almost wort-like. The flavor is a strong caramel malt offset only slightly by the light herbal hopping. That hopping and the caramel is overriden in the finish by a citric (lemon?) bitterness that seems characteristic of many of the beers from this brewpub.

Decent red with the expected strong malt profile but a weird citrus note that detracted. (Detergent in line?)
