Pale-to-mid golden with mild carbonation under a whitish head which fades rather quickly. Light florals to Belgianesque yeastiness in the aroma along with lemon/lemon cookie. Mid-bodied palate, a little more sticky than a Wit should be. Light tartness to the finish. Low diacetyl doesn’t bother me here as much as usual, hidden mostly under doughy yeasts and lemon with low honey notes. Enjoyable.

This is the first offering from the brewpub’s new brewmaster. It pours a cloudy pale straw body with a modest head that reduces to a halo a bit too quickly. Nice fragrant aroma of soft wheat, coriander, and a touch of oranges. (They served me this with an orange wedge which I immediately hurled at the bartender.) This is fairly refreshing, if a bit watery. The wheat has a mild tartness to it and the coriander dominates the orange zest, but it’s blended pretty smoothly. Not bad.
