COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This mild is an English "Session" beer, a beer considered lighter in body and flavor. Light brown in color and body, while slightly hoppy and malty in aroma and flavor. This is an excellent introduction to the world of hand-crafted brews. 3.6% ABV, 1.036 O.G., SRM 11.0, IBU 18

Today this is being called "Mulligan’s Ale" at the brewpub and has a slightly stronger ABV, but it is still broadly in the Mild style. Nice pour, clear reddish-mahogany body with a creamy tan head. The aroma has an apple & cherry fruitiness accompanied by a dark worty sweetness. The flavor reflects the aroma with the exception of a mild floral bitterness appearing near the finish. Sessionable.

Thin white head, clear copper in color. Nose is sweet and malty but very thin and watery. I like what frankenkitty says abou ’tea’ and that is pretty close to what this is like. I was actually thinking that it has the characteristics of a cask, with the flatness and warmess, but without being cask. Interesting and pretty spot on for the style.

A slight, tan creamy head laces well and holds above a clear, deep copper body. Initial aroma of strong lemon tea that fades to grainy malts and mild lemony-citric hops. Flavor holds a strong resemblance to tea, with malts that start light and sweet progressing to a mildly bitter citrus finish. Nuttiness comes out as it warms. Body is on the thin side, but I found this beer to be tasteful and style-appropriate... my growler choice for today.
