COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We took a German Style Wheat beer with slight sourness and added a bunch of raspberries from Oregon! Wow! The result is a completely refreshing beer... very complex and rich in fruit flavor. 1.048 O.G.; SRM 4.4; IBU 15.9

On tap at the brewery. Same day as the brew daze but not actually at the brew daze. Just in the brewery. Thin nose, the taste was watery with a big hit of concentrated, extract like raspberries. Really not into raspberry beers like this.

This poured a dirty orange body and for a head had some big bubbles that left the beer capless after they popped. They may indeed have brewed with fresh raspberries, but the aroma seemed more like the old hard candies that I never cared for. The flavor perked up a bit because of the fruity tartness, but in the end I was happy that it’s a beer that I’m only having once.

Now called "Raspberry Tart"

Poured a dead, pale orange, mostly headless save for a few wisps and a thin halo. Tart, berry aroma with vinegar notes. Incredibly tart flavor, leaning toward Flemish Sour-sourness. Thin and lightly acidic. If I look at it as a Flemish Sour, it becomes much more enjoyable. If I don’t, it seems like someone made a boo-boo and covered their tracks by giving it a clever name.

Okay, seriously. What’s with EVERYONE doing a raspberry or berry beer right now? This had a thin head, but a good nose and was easily drinkable. Good for the folks who want a "beer" but don’t crave hops or malt.

Had this one on draught at Brew Daze 2006. Light copper color with a very thin, watery head. Very very pronounced aroma of raspberries and strawberries, very potent, over-the-top with the raspberries, but nice and balanced with malt, baked bread, and apple. I liked this one.

Tap at brewery. Pours thin but rosy red. No head or lace. Aroma is raspberry and peach. Flavor is raspberry with a cough medicine finish. Slight peach as well. Palate is watery. Interesting beer.
