Govnor’s newest mainstay brew! This excellent light red amber ale will shortly become your most popular. It has a mild toasted malt flavor with a light hop bitterness. Try this one today!

Curious name. I’ve had beers with just such a flavor, and it’s not really something a brewer would want to advertize. This, however, is an inoffensive Amber Ale, very pale in color with a creamy, good lacing head. The aroma is light, fruity with sweet malt, both of which continue into the flavor. Not much else here. Certainly not hops.

On tap at the Govnors Brew Pub. Poured a medium amber color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, toasted grains, and caramel. Tastes follow suit.

Pour is clear ruddy amber with a very thin ring of a tan head...smell is faintly toasty with molasses and breadcrumbs...taste is sweet at first with caramel, then a faint light bitterness...

It was drinkable. Nice dark color, but mostly bland taste. It’s kinda like the red version of Bud Light.

Had this one on draught at Brew Daze 2006. I did not like this beer one bit. Dark copper color with a very thin head, peanuts and malt in the nose but with very citrusy, acidic notes. Yuck.

Tap at brewery. Pours cloudy amber with little head and even littler lace. Smells like a bastardized sweetened tea. Flavor is lemon tea minus the appeal. Palate is watery and, strange enough, rubbery. This stuff absolutely sucks.

A bright, coppery-orange with trickles of carbonation and thin traces of a head with a white hairline of halo. Dry aroma with diacetyl... butterscotch and sulfrous eggy notes (that sadly come back in the aftertaste after belching). Nutty, sweet flavor with a crisp, mineral-water finish. If you can get past the adversities in the nose it’s not half bad, but they could have chosen better for a mainstay.

This is said to be on the menu the latest addition to the ’regular list.’ So this will be available all the time. Interesting, it was supposed to be an amber. As for the color it was almost more golen than what I would expect from an amber. Clear with no head. The nose was again thin with a lot of grains. The taste was very strange, initially there was a lot of what the closest that I can explain is burnt popcorn. I can still taste it, burnt unbuttered unsalted popcorn. Later it cools down a bit and has more of that amber kind of lager kind of barley with some copper to it. I tried, I really did, but I couldnt get into this one. Drinkable at best.
