3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 frankenkitty (1958) - Oak Lawn, USA - JUN 13, 2005
Deep mahogany over honey-amber in color, this beer was served in a snifter and held a small creamy head. Rich, Belgianesque aromas with light, doughy yeastiness, brandy, banana and smoke. Moderately bittersweet and alcoholic with lemon-sourness in a short finish. Served a bit too cold to enjoy it right off the bat, but it was enjoyably rich and flavorful as it warmed.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 ElBorracho (472) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 8, 2006
Sampled at Night of the Living Ales II. Dark fruits dominate this murky brown brew with brown sugar and citric yeasts following close behind. A solid effort.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Cornfield (5277) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - MAR 6, 2006
Murky amber-brown with a slender tan head, it presents a slightly sour aroma, yeasty, with banana and warm spices. Sweet liquer like taste with some juicy fruits, candy sugar, and a light woodiness. Finishes on a lemon twist note. Not a bad offering.

Hazy, unfiltered rosen-amber in color with a tan head. Very beautiful beer. Aroma has deliciously pronounced bananas and cloves. A savory sweetness is prevailing in a most impressive manner. Some maraschino cherries and a subtle chocolate covered cherry complexity, and now we get to taste it... Creamy hit with a character that endorses sugar-sprinkled blueberries, caramel syrup and an amplified ABV content. Seems like something they’re contract brewing for Unibroue. It’s that impressive. Some hints of chocolate covered bananas, some anise for spicing and perhaps some nutmeg as well, rounding out with a chewy toffee sustentative feeling and impeccably balanced. By far this brewery’s most impressive beer.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 awaller05 (302) - Sharon, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 8, 2005
I had only the opportunity for one beer at the Govnors house in L.I.T.H. I picked this one because it was going to f@ck me up the most from the beers on the menu. Comes served in a tumbler and doesn’t look all that impressive when brought to your table. A sweet smell from a burgandy elixar. I smelled the fruit that they advertised but not the choco. The first taste was decent and didn’t repulse me as much as I thought it would. Finished good but I wouldn’t order a second. This may be a dessert beer at best.
