COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This light bodied apricot flavored wheat has a dominant fruit flavor with very little hop characteristics. A refreshing Summertime beer. OG 1.043, SRM 3.0, IBU 10

Surprised to see this rating so low... reading the other comments, I should mention that I didn’t detect some of the chemical flavors that others have.

Golden with a slight, white head and soft effervescence. Instead of apricot, I detected raspberry in the nose with Strawberry Quik and grainy notes behind. Flavor was fruit-on-wheat with the fruit, at times, receding to the background. Finishing soft and spritzy, this beer was fruity yet clean.

Yeah didnt really read the description in the brewery and was absolutely floored when I found out that this was an ’apricot’ flavored beer. At first I was trying to think something like... did they mess this up? Are these some kind of strange esters or whatnot? Well, I eventually figured it out and I guess that is good because well... Now I know that it was not some kind of error while brewing or something.

UPDATED: MAY 19, 2006 Something not quite right here. This is an apricot flavored American wheat ale, but the aroma is more akin to furniture polish. It’s bittersweet to drink without any distinguishable flavor until the artificial apricot taste in the finish. It also left a disturbing film on my tongue.

Apricot wheat...not a terrible idea. But I kept getting a chemical tingle on my tongue and gums almost a lemon pledge flavor. That can’t help my rating.
