Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, coffee, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. A brew with good aroma and too burnt taste.

Cask @Gallows bird, Real ale festival 2016. Pours almost black with a thin brown head. Chocolate, coffee, cocoa and ash dominates. Really dry, ashy finish in this one. Light bodied, but nicely flavored, too ashy for me though.
